Sons of Malice

In service to Malice

This is the 1st 1000 points of a chaos war band painted as the Sons of Malice.

I was asked to paint this force by a friend at the beginning of January. After discussing a colour scheme and being told what models he has (built & new in box) we agreed I would build and paint and base everything as it would be easier for me to do so than work around pre built models. I received the models around mid February with a goal of trying to get the 1st 1k points table top ready for Warhammer fest April 28th-May 1st.

The colour scheme its self is a good challenge. Being neat is key especially on the white sides of the models. With the main colours of the armour being black and white I wanted to make items like the plasma weapon’s, warp magic, flames be points that draw the eyes to the model. I have made custom bases for this force which was a learning curve but I think will make things easier long term when my friend comes back and starts adding to this project in the future.

The project it self isn’t fully completed I managed to get 1k points up to this stage you see in the photos. I have another 500 points to do (including that spider in the background of the photos and allot more marines). Also I want to go back in with some highlights on the armour and cloths, then once all is done go in and make the weapon’s glow as intended.
