The League

What is it?

This is a year long competition that links all the single player events that I am running in 2024 together into one competitive format. You may not face all of the players in your league across the year but each event and round will pit all of you in a race to become champion for the season.

How does it work?

There are 5 single player events this year in both the 1k and 2k game sizes. Every event you take part in we note down the following data from your games in this priority.

1st- Your finishing position points (Placings 1-10 will score descending points like the F1)

2nd- The number of games you won

3rd- The victory points you gained that event

We collect those data point across the year for every event and take the best 4 events for each person and put that into a ranked table with all the other players.

Using the August and November events as an example, Robert Osborn took part with his Necrons in 2 events he placed 5th in both giving him 6 points for each of his placing he won 4 games and scored 352 victory points. When stacked up against all other participants his position looks like this


Robert sits in 3rd place for now! But Player 1 is in 4th place with having done only 1 event so far and is 2 points behind Robert. Both players can only use their best 4 event in the season. So player 4 could jump ahead of Robert in the next event he enters. Also if Robert could improve on a 5th place finish in every one of the 3 remaining events of the season he would gain some additional points. That performance would remove Event 1’s scores from counting as that had the same number of wins as event 2 but lowest number of victory points. Roberts best events would be Event 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 and those would contribute to his league ranking.

How do I take part?

Simply message Robert and let him know you like to take part in the League it costs £10 for the entire season and the money will go towards developing the gaming group further.

When do I have to register by?

I will have all the Event data so if you like to take part you must register your interest by the start of the second event.

Any Additional things I need to know?

As 10th edition is new and this league is a brand new concept to most alongside the fact I’m not sure if I have explained it fully to everyone in the gaming group. I’m going for a more relaxed system than I originally envisioned. With that said:

These are the rules for the 2024- 2025 season.

  • Players Must be registered by the second event.

  • Players are not faction locked this year! (you can change force every event)

  • Players are not List locked this year! (If you use the same faction your list can change from event to event)

  • Players are game sized locked this year! (you cannot gain points when playing a different size event as player pools will be different)

3D Printing Policy

3D printing Policy

Event Policy’s

These policy’s are in place to ensure fair and fun play for all players across the day and to provide clear rules and guidelines on what we expect of our players so no disputes arise. These events are to be a fun experience for all and I will do my best to ensure that. But any players found in breach of these rules will face consequences depending on the rules breach.

3D Printing

I have taken a long hard think on the stance I want to take when it comes to 3D printed miniatures at my events. What I have come up with seems to be a fair compromise for all. Anyone in breach of the following rules will have models removed from play and will have to finish the game with that handicap or concede with a full loss with 0 points that round. Each rule has my thoughts processes on below with that said you can fully 3D print a army and use it in my games days provided all models adhere to the following rules.

Rule 1- All 3D printed models must have similar silhouette and size to the model they are trying to represent.

This is to help opponents clearly identify what your model is trying to representing. (I.e A walking machine the size of a sentinel cannot represent a tank). The 3D printed model size must be comparable to its Games workshop counterpart to avoid modding for advantage.

Rule 2- All 3D printed models must be on the same base size as the model they are trying to represent. This is to avoid modelling for advantage.

Rule 3- No 3D printed replicas of GW (or other companies) models.

This is theft there is no way round it. Any models found to be 3D printed replicas of games Workshop models will be removed from the table.

Rule 4- All 3D printed models must have weapons that look like what they are suppose to represent (A Sword cannot represent a power fist or lighting claw). This is to keep things clear between you and your opponent.

Rule 5- All 3D models must be submitted for review 3 weeks prior to the event this must be done via photo.

In summery these are fun days, you are more than welcome to kitbash/ convert using 3D printed stuff or have a completely 3D printed army as long as the model looks like what your trying to represent on the table via its the size, overall silhouette and size of the base. What you cannot do is 3D print complete replica of official GW models I.e you can 3D print imperial guardsmen and they can represent any imperial guard regiment as long as its in the right scale and on a 25mm base as long as they look nothing like a official GW miniature that can be brought off the shelf.

This Code of Conduct document applies to all attendees of our events and details the behaviours we expect everyone to adhere to whilst at the D6 games Events

Why do we have a Code of Conduct?

This Code of Conduct is here to help make sure everyone who attends one of our events knows exactly what is expected of them and feels welcomed, safe, and respected. We expect all who take part in one of our events to display appropriate behaviours at all times, including online.

The Code of Conduct

By purchasing a ticket to one of our events, you agree to adhere to the following principals, and will take responsibility for your own behaviour during the event.

You will:

- be welcoming, supportive and kind to others

- be respectful of those around you

- be open, honest, and clear with your dice, rules, and measurements during your games

- report any breaches of this code to the event organisers/volunteers

- have fun!

You will not:

- behave in a way that could be considered intimidating or threatening

- be abusive towards or bully other people

- let others behaviour which breaches this Code of Conduct go unreported

What happens if I do not follow the Code of Conduct?

Minor and first-time incident:

- One of our team will politely remind you of the Code of Conduct and ask you to change your behaviour.

- Gaming infractions may result in you receiving a ‘yellow card’ which could include a points/win deduction and may affect your ability to purchase tickets to future D6 events.

Serious or second-time incidents:

- You will be asked to leave the event.

- Gaming infractions may result in your receiving a ‘red card’ which will include immediate disqualification from the event and will affect your ability to purchase tickets to future event.
