RTT Doubles Guide

A Simple Guide To All Our Warhammer 40k Doubles RTTs in 2024

Hi and thank you for taking part and playing in this little organised Warhammer 40k event.

This players Guide will hopefully help everyone enjoy the day by providing all the information you need in one place. This Guide is Written for 2000 point doubles events held on the 14th of December 2024

About this event

This is an entry level competitive event designed to help new players learn the ropes in competitive games and help them progress to bigger events while providing a good practice experience for more seasoned players of the game. We will be using and following the Games Workshop Pariah Nexus Competition event pack linked lower down for all competition rules but this event is not ITC pointed.

It is a competitive event and I wish everyone the best of luck but we are playing with relaxed rules compared to most events played in the UK, for example depending on game size you may have longer play times than ITC counterparts, and also while i am developing these RTT,s 8 tables will be identical and compliant to the terrain pack but if we have the eventuality that we exceed those numbers some tables won’t have quite the full compliment of scenery outlined in the GW Pariah Nexus Mission pack but i will try my best to arrange table layouts and density close to the pack as possible.

I will also be putting on a full days worth of food and drinks for all players with the aim of being Tasty, healthy home cooked meal. This menu will be listed below. This is a Bring Your Own Booze Event!

Thank you

Robert

Terrain Layouts

Terrain For December

As i am developing these events and are in the early stages. The terrain on the day will more than likely be grey as it has just arrived from china. But up to 8 tables should be identical regarding the ruins. Things like low walls and crates and pipes will vary based on supply but all play the same as listed below.

As the core rules intend we are using True Line of Site for all of our terrain you can only draw line of site through windows and gaps not blocked wall segments. Every table will have a mix of completely blocked walls and walls with gaps. This applies to ground floor and first floor ruins.

Buildings/ Ruins - Have the Obscuring Key word. Has a foot print so models within the terrain can be shot and shoot out but will also receive the benefits of cover.

Containers/ Large pipes/tall Hills - Has the Obscuring key word.

Small Pipes, Baracades, Rocks <2”, - True Line of site + Provide Cover
